The administration has effectively prohibited them from working with and purchasing for from suppliers within the US over human rights considerations. In a filing (PDF) to be published by the Division of Commerce, the government stated the companies had been blacklisted for the goal they play within the “implementation of China’s campaign of repression, mass arbitrary detention, and high-abilities surveillance in opposition to Uighurs, Kazakhs and other contributors of Muslim minority teams” within the Xinjiang province.
