Trump Easter Message: Former In a series of Easter statements Sunday morning, President Donald Trump assailed “radical left maniacs” and “racist” New York Attorney General Letitia James.
“Happy Easter to all,” he wrote in a statement shared on Twitter by his spokesman Liz Harrington, “even the Radical Left Maniacs who are doing everything imaginable to destroy our country.” “Let them be happy, healthy, affluent, and well, even if they don’t succeed!”
The former president slammed James, who has long been a target of his investigations into his New York financial activities.
Trump Easter Message New Tactics
It’s not a new tactic for Trump, who in previous holiday tweets made a point of wishing ‘haters’ and enemies as well as his supporters.
‘Happy Easter to all, especially the Radical Left Maniacs who are trying to destroy our country,’ Trump said in his first remark.
‘May them not succeed, but may they be happy, healthy, prosperous, and well!’
‘Happy Easter to the failed gubernatorial candidate and racist Attorney General Letitia James,’ ran a message from the former president’s Save America PAC less than an hour later.
‘May she live long and prosper, despite the fact that she will continue to drive business out of New York while keeping crime, murder, and destruction in the city!’
Trump and his family’s real estate enterprise are being investigated by James‘ office for alleged tax fraud. She had already entered the contest for the next governor of the Empire State, but she withdrew to run for her current position again.
The state attorney general filed a motion earlier this month to hold Trump in contempt for failing to turn over records by a previously agreed-upon date, asking a judge to punish him with $10,000 for each day he refuses to comply.
Meanwhile, despite reports that the ongoing criminal investigation into Trump’s family business had come to a halt following the production of a criminal indictment against its chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office said the investigation is continuing.
James is looking into the Trump Organization‘s suspected use of false or misleading information to acquire loans and secure transactions, which he claims has been going on for at least a decade.
In a statement, James stated, “The judge’s decision was crystal clear: Donald J. Trump must cooperate with our subpoena and turn over relevant records to my office.”
‘Rather than obeying a court order, Mr. Trump is attempting to circumvent it.’ No one is above the law, so we’re asking the court to intervene right away.’
Both Bragg’s and James’ investigations have been referred to by Trump as politically driven ‘witch hunts.’
Trump made his Easter Sunday statement after endorsing Hillbilly Elegy author JD Vance in Ohio’s tumultuous Republican primary to replace retiring Senator Rob Portman.
‘This isn’t an easy endorsement for me to make because I like and respect some of the other candidates in the race—they’ve said wonderful things about “Trump” and, like me, they love Ohio and our country,’ Trump stated on April 15.
‘I’ve done a lot of research on this campaign, and I believe J.D. is the most likely to defeat the weak but dangerous Democrat opponent—dangerous because they’ll have so much money to spend.’ J.D., on the other hand, will demolish him in debates and battle for the MAGA Movement in the Senate.’
Trump’s statement on Sunday, in which he wished his opponents “well health,” is the second time he’s mentioned the issue in recent days.
Trump Easter Message Slammed Letitia James
“Letitia James, the unsuccessful gubernatorial candidate, and racist Attorney General wish you a happy Easter. May she stay healthy, despite the fact that she will continue to drive business out of New York while keeping crime, death, and destruction there “In a second message, which was also posted by Harrington, he wrote:
He was referring to James’ unsuccessful gubernatorial candidacy last year. Following the resignation of former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, she planned to compete for the state’s highest position, but she finally decided to run for attorney general again rather than challenge incumbent Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul.
James has used her power as attorney general to probe Trump’s financial activities, subpoenaing him and two of his children earlier this year. She filed a motion in April asking for a $10,000 fine for each day he refuses to hand over papers pertaining to her investigation.
Trump has denied any wrongdoing and accused her of “prosecutorial malpractice.”
Trump and James have recently battled over James’ attempt to have Trump and his adult children take depositions. James and the Manhattan district attorney’s office are looking into whether Trump reduced the value of his properties on his tax returns but increased them in lender papers.
Trump has consistently criticized James’ probe, describing it as a politically driven witch hunt. He has filed a federal lawsuit seeking an injunction to stop the investigation.
The former president stated, “Radical Left Maniacs” are “doing everything imaginable to destroy our Country” in another statement geared at Democrats on Sunday.
“Let them be happy, healthy, affluent, and well!” he urged, even if they didn’t succeed.
