Jemaine Clement is a well-known TV actor who was born on January 10, 1974, in New Zealand. Musician-turned-actor best known for his role in HBO’s Flight of the Conchords. In addition, he and Bret McKenzie formed the musical comedy combo Flight of the Conchords. Jemaine Clement was born under the sign of Capricorn, according to astrologists.

In Masterton, he went to Makoura College. He relocated to Wellington, New Zealand’s capital, after graduation to study theatre and cinema at Victoria University of Wellington. He met Taika Waititi (a.k.a. Taika Cohen) there, with whom he later formed So You’re a Man and The Humourbeasts. The Humourbeasts visited New Zealand in 2004 with a theatrical play called The Untold Tales of Maui, which was a reworked version of the original of Mui’s traditional Maori folklore The Billy T Award, New Zealand’s top comedic honour, was bestowed onto the team. He also met Bret McKenzie during university, with whom he played in Edinburgh, and so created Flight of the Conchords.

In August 2008, he married Miranda Manasiadis, a playwright and theatrical actor. Two months later, they  welcomed a boy called Sophocles.

Following their appearance on HBO’s ‘One Night Stand’ in 2005, the Conchords were granted their own 12-part HBO series Flight of the Conchords, based on their earlier BBC radio series of the same name. Its first season aired on HBO in the United States from January to March 2009, and it was renewed for a second season, which aired from January to March 2009. The Conchords started in December 2009 that there will be no third season.
