Canada’s Got Talent returns after nine years with judges Howie Mandel, Lily Singh

Comedian Howie Mandel, A Little Late star Lily Singh, music label executive Cardinal Official and WWE icon Trish Stratus will serve on the jury panel for the reality television series Canada’s Got Talent. As Deadline reports, the show is re-airing nine years after its first and only season.

Country music star Lindsay L. will host the series, which will air on Canadian network CityTV. Natalyn Rodrigues, CityTV’s Original Programming Director, said, “This dynamic and powerhouse team of globally renowned Canadian veterans – Howie Mandel, Lily Singh, Cardinal Official, Trish Stratus and Lindsay L. The most unique and heart-wrenching act of the country.”

Executive producer Scott McGillivray said Canada’s Got Talent is “a trove of blockbuster talent spanning music, comedy, film, television and sports entertainment”. “Between them, they’ve been discovering, nurturing and inspiring artists for decades. We can’t wait to see what new amazing talent they champion on our CGT platform,” McGillivray said.

The series is produced by Fremantle, Syco Entertainment and McGillivray Entertainment Media Inc. Angela Jennings and Mike Bickerton also executive produces the show, with Jonathan Payne serving as showrunner. The first season of “Canada’s Got Talent” ran for one season in 2012 before the spinoff pandemic version aired last year.
