Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey has been summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Monday for the third round of questioning in the Mumbai cruise drug bust case.

The actor, who appeared before the NCB for the second consecutive day on Friday, was questioned for over three hours. Pandey denied the allegations of allegedly taking or supplying drugs.

Pandey will be questioned over an alleged WhatsApp chat linked to actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, who was arrested after a raid on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 3.

The NCB on Saturday said it is probing the financial transactions of all those arrested in this connection. PTI was informed. An official said that Aryan’s financial transactions would also be probed.

NCB Deputy Director General Ashok Mutha Jain had said that details about the probe could not be shared when he was asked about Pandey’s reaction to the alleged WhatsApp chat with Khan.

Anti-drug agency officials had on Thursday visited Pandey’s residence and summoned him in connection with the drug bust. The agency has also confiscated his laptop and phone.

Bombay High Court to hear Aryan Khan’s bail plea on Tuesday. Aryan moved the high court after the bail was rejected by the special NDPS court.

The special court had said that since Aryan’s friend traveling with him was found with the banned substance and he knew about it, it amounted to “conscious possession”.

Special judge VV Patil, designated to hear cases related to the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, also rejected the bail of friend Arbaaz Merchant and fashion model Munmun.

The court also said that Aryan had no prior criminal history, but his WhatsApp chats show that he was “involved in illegal drug activities”.

Aryan is currently lodged in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail.

The agency has arrested 20 people so far.
