Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s plea to transfer her recent Javed Akhtar defamation case to another Metropolitan Magistrate has been rejected. The actress wanted to transfer the defamation case filed against her by lyricist Javed Akhtar, which is taking place in the 10th court in Andheri.

There were some reasons for Kangana’s application behind moving the petition, which were addressed by the actress’s lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui. Kangana, in her petition, had claimed that the 10th Andheri court magistrate insisted on the actress to appear in the court without any valid reason. “This court is threatening the accused on every date of issuance of arrest warrant without giving sufficient reason,” its official application said.

But as soon as her petition was filed, Javed Akhtar’s lawyer Jay Bhardwaj started opposing the petition, claiming that it is Kangana who has been continuously delaying the court proceedings since the case was registered against him last November. has been “The grounds mentioned in the present application were raised for the first time after more than 7 months of calling Kangana with the sole intention of delaying the matter,” Bharadwaj said.

On October 21, Kangana’s plea was dismissed by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate ST Dande as the judge was awaiting Javed Akhtar’s decision, which was given by Javed Akhtar’s counsel. However, Kangana had no reaction to the lyricist’s decision.

It all started in November 2020, when Javed Akhtar filed a case against the actress, claiming that he made some baseless defamatory statements against her in an interview on a national television.

Soon after the lyricist filed a case against Kangana, she took immediate action and filed a counter-complaint, mentioning that her dispute with actor Hrithik Roshan has compelled Javed Akhtar to do the same. He said, Javed Akhtar had called Kangana and her sister Rangoli to his Juhu home to talk about some professional projects, but instead Javed Akhtar asked the sisters to write a sincere apology for defaming the actor. force to.

After her petition was rejected yesterday, she is yet to make a public statement.
