Jai Bheem Trailer: Suriya plays a lawyer who fights for the oppressed in upcoming film

Amazon Prime Video has just released the trailer of Jai Bhim and it speaks volumes! Based on a true story, the legal drama stars Suriya in the lead. Suriya plays the role of Chandru, a lawyer who is ready to go through the odds of politics. The trailer shows him a couple living in a rural area committed to fighting the government.

Jai Bheem is based on a real life incident from 1993. The legal drama narrates the lives of Senggeni and Rajkannu, a tribal couple. When the police officers arrest Rajkannu due to some unfortunate incidents. Sengeni along with lawyer Chandru decides to fight the political system to get justice for her husband.

The trailer released about an hour ago today (22 October) on the official channel of Amazon Prime India. In no time, the trailer has garnered around 261k views.

Excited to share the official trailer release, the film’s lead Suriya took to Twitter. He wrote, “It’s time to show the power of truth & faith!! Watch #JaiBhimOnPrime 2nd November on @PrimeVideoIN (sic).”

Directed by TJ Gyanvel, the film also stars Prakash Raj, Rajisha Vijayan, Lijomol Jose, Rao Ramesh, K Manikandan and Ravi Venkataraman in supporting roles. The regional film is produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment. Jai Bheem’s technical team consists of SR Kathir as cinematographer, Philomin Ra as editor and Sean Roldan as composer.

The makers will release the film in five languages, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi, and will have a direct OTT release closer to Diwali. Jai Bhim will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 2.

On the other hand, Surya also has Itharakkum Thunindhavan in his hand. The upcoming Tamil language action drama is written and directed by Pandiraj. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film also stars Vinay Rai and Priyanka Arul Mohan in pivotal roles.
