The film is Vivek Soni’s first feature film and will release on Netflix on November 5.

The film’s previous teasers tended to stereotype Tamils ​​with depictions of Tamil culture, exaggerated Rajinikanth fantasy (by portraying a temple for superstars at home) and everyone in Tamil Nadu in perfect Hindi (and a smattering of bad Tamil). The story revolves around a hesitant newly wed couple, who are already wary of each other and suddenly face the prospect of a long distance marriage. Sundar (Dasani) accepts a new job in Bangalore, while Meenakshi (Malhotra) stays in Madurai. Will they be able to resolve their disagreement?

Director Vivek Soni shared, “My experience working in this film has been enriching. Meenakshi Sundareswarar will always be very special to me as this is my first film as a director.
