Bollywood actress Yuvika Chaudhary was arrested on Monday for using casteist abusive words (in her vlog). He was arrested by the Haryana Police under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (SC/ST Act). The 38-year-old actor is currently out on interim bail.
The arrest was made on the basis of a video from 5 months ago. After the video went viral for hurting people, she immediately issued a formal statement on Instagram apologizing for her behavior. “Hi guys i didn’t understand the meaning of the word i used in my previous vlog i didn’t mean to hurt anyone and i can never do that i hurt anyone i apologize to everyone I hope you understand your love all (sic),,” she wrote as her apology.

His legal representative Ashok Bishnoi issued a formal statement about his arrest to ANI. Bishnoi told the news agency, “My client has joined the investigation as per the guidelines given by the High Court and he is presently on interim bail (in the case of alleged objectionable remarks against Scheduled Castes on social media platforms).

The case was registered against Yuvika after a Dalit rights activist Rajat Kalsan filed a complaint against her in Hansi, Haryana. According to a report in India.com, Kalsan has written in her complaint that Yuvika had made objectionable remarks against the Scheduled Caste community.
