Before the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Warner Bros. Batman was the biggest superhero franchise on the big screen. Ahead of the new trailer release at the DC Fandome event on Saturday (October 16), producers have unveiled two new posters for director Matt Reeves’ The Batman featuring Robert Pattinson’s Caped Crusader and Paul Dano’s The Riddler.
The first poster puts Batman front and center, as rain falls down from the sky. The second poster shows the Riddler holding a note addressed to the Dark Knight.
Sharing the poster, the makers wrote, “In anticipation of the new trailer for #TheBatman during DC FanDome tomorrow, check out the posters for Batman and the Riddler. Tune in to #DCFanDome.”

With Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne and Paul Dano as the Riddler, the film stars Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone and There’s also Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot.
The film faced production stoppages and delays in the release date due to the novel coronavirus pandemic and was originally scheduled to release on June 25, 2021.
Batman is just one of several upcoming projects to be highlighted at this year’s DC Fandome event. The free virtual fan event features a live webcast and activities to promote various movies and TV shows. At last year’s event, the makers of The Batman unveiled the first trailer for the film.
The film’s synopsis read: “The Riddler plays a dangerous game of cat and mouse with Batman and Commissioner Gordon in Gotham City.”
The film’s director Matt Reeves shared two teasers of his upcoming film on Twitter. The tweet also revealed Zoe Kravitz’s look as Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman.

In September of this year, a new Batman spin-off series was announced in the works at HBO Max, slated to focus on The Penguin.
Now, the flick is set to release in theaters on March 4, 2022, in various languages including English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
