In Hindi cinema, filmmakers are getting very interested in the horror comedy genre. After films like the horror film ‘Ragini MMS’, the psychological thriller ‘Phobia’, Pawan Kripalani has now directed the horror comedy film ‘Bhoot Police’.
The film is the story of two brothers Vibhuti (Saif Ali Khan) and Chironji (Arjun Kapoor) who claim to be exorcists. They have their special type of vehicle that they live in. Baba & Sons are written backwards on this vehicle. His father is a great tantric, while Vibhuti is a hypocrite and hypocrite. He wants to earn money disguised as superstition. He does not believe in ghosts, while Chironji is of the opposite nature. He wants to carry on his legacy by learning the tantric tradition from the book of Tantra-Mantra that his father gave him. He is asked to exorcise a ghost named Kishkandi from a tea garden in the beautiful valleys of Himachal. 27 years ago in this garden, his father had subdued this ghost. The owners of this plantation are two sisters Maya (Yami Gautam Dhar) and Kanika (Jacqueline Fernandez). Can the two brothers help these sisters who went from rich to broke? Can they exorcise the ghost, who only comes out at night? The answers to these questions will be found after watching the movie.
The film, written and directed by Pawan Kriplani, initially deals with fraud under the guise of superstition. They have tried to create confusion about being a ghost or not, but have not been successful at that. Even though the two brothers were told the seventh generation of the Kaal Bhairav Tantric Gharana, there is no concrete problem in their history. There is a contradiction in the story. In the vein of Go Corona, Go Kishkandi, and nepotism (nepotism) have ruined the whole country… As the dialogues laugh. Saif Ali speaks in a different style in the film. His style captivates. However, they cannot maintain uniformity in it. Here are more clowns. He doesn’t seem to fit the role of a tantric hypocrite. On the other hand, Arjun Kapoor doesn’t seem comfortable with the character. Despite the two brothers living together since childhood, it is beyond comprehension that their pronunciation is not the same.
The specialty of horror comedy movies is the mystery hidden in the story along with the humor. Curious about future developments. There was no such feeling here. You can easily predict the character of Jacqueline Fernandez. The highlight of the film is the comedy by Jamie Lever, the daughter of Johnny Lever. Like his father, he is also talented. The scene of him singing the song ‘How is the Josh’, the dialogue from the film and ‘Aao Na …’ is remembered. The rest Jacqueline Fernandez looks glamorous. Yami Gautam manages to play his character in limited sequences. Rajpal Yadav and Javed Jaffrey are in their family style in cameo roles.
