Storyline of the Outlander Season 5
The Frasers are fighting for their family and the home they have built on Fraser’s Ridge in Season 5. “With her family finally reunited, Claire Fraser must use her modern medical knowledge and foresight to keep them from being ripped apart again,” the story continues. “However, she risks losing sight of what it means to protect herself while focusing on protecting others.”
Meanwhile, Brianna and Roger have reconciled, but Stephen Bonnet continues to haunt them. “Roger works hard to find his place—and Jamie’s respect—in this new and dangerous world.”
This season, the Frasers will band together to face “the many perils that they foresee—and those they can’t.”
The Plot of Outlander Season 6
Season 6 is partly based on the sixth novel, A Breath of Snow and Ashes, by Diana Gabaldon, and is based on the seventh novel, A Discovery of Witches. The new season is described by Starz as follows:
“Outlander’s sixth season continues Claire and Jamie’s fight to protect those they love as they navigate the trials and tribulations of life in colonial America.” Creating a home in the New World is not an easy task, especially in the wild backcountry of North Carolina—and, perhaps most importantly, during a time of dramatic political upheaval.
The Frasers work hard to keep the peace and thrive in a society that, as Claire knows all too well, is unwittingly marching towards revolution. Claire and Jamie have built a home together at Fraser’s Ridge against this backdrop, which heralds the birth of the new American nation.

They must now defend this home, built on land granted to them by the Crown, not only from outside forces but also from the growing strife and conflict in the community under their care. For the Frasers and their immediate family, “home” is more than just a place to live; it is where they are laying the groundwork for the rest of their lives.
